eMusic is a solid service that has two major benefits. One is that they are 100% compatible with any mp3 player including iPod and compatible with MACs. Another is that their free trial allows you to download and keep any 25 songs at no cost. So far so good? Well...not so fast. Their service is OK, their selection is smaller than Napsters, and their prices should you choose to stay are a bit high.
While they still offer packages that brings download costs down to as low as $0.33 per download, you can't beat the other services ranked higher that offer unlimited downloads. This service is a bit pricy, and they hide a bit too much stuff in the fine print. But, for MAC customers this is probably your best option.
